I own a few rental units. Should I rekey between tenants or install keypads?+
Either works. Rekeying keeps the locks you have and makes the last tenant's key useless. A keypad deadbolt replaces the lock once, and after that each turnover is just a new code. You can also mix the two: keypads on the units that change tenants most often, rekeys on the rest.

I rent here and I'm locked out. What do I need to show you?+
Your lease, or a photo ID with the unit's address. We confirm it before we open anything, and we open the door without damaging it. If the key is gone for good, tell your landlord, since the lock should be rekeyed.
The lock on our shop's back door barely works. Can you fix it?+
Usually. We check the door first, because a sagging door or a worn closer often causes what looks like a lock problem, then repair or replace the lock and adjust the closer so the door latches every time it shuts.
When can you come out?+
Any day Monday through Saturday between 8am and 8pm. We don't work Sundays or overnight, so a call that comes in after hours is booked for the next day we're open.
